Regina Elizabeth Bruns

	Regina Elizabeth (Martin) Bruns, age 95, of Pinckneyville, passed away Sunday morning, August 25, 2002 at 2:45 a.m. at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
	Regina was born September 6, 1906 in Pinckneyville, the daughter of Joe and Elizabeth (Surman) Martin.  She was united in marriage to John C. Bruns on June 28, 1927 in Pinckneyville and he preceded her in death on May 9, 1974.  Regina was a homemaker and member of St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville and a member of Catholic Daughters of America.
	Regina is survived by three sons, Carl J. Bruns and wife Betty of Alexis, Bernard W. Bruns and wife Sally of Pinckneyville and Edward J. Bruns and wife Sherilyn, also of Pinckneyville; one daughter, Elizabeth 'Betty' Smith and husband Jeril of Pinckneyville and two sisters, Margaret Woodside of Nashville, Tenn. and Frances McLuckie of DuQuoin.  Regina is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, four step-grandsons, two step-granddaughters and countless nieces, nephews and cousins.
	Regina was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Loretta Daven, along with her husband Michael; one son, Herman; one granddaughter, Cheryl Smith; three grandsons, Michael Daven II, Douglas Bruns and Jon Smith; five brothers; Charles, Simon, George, Jim and Paul and three sisters, Theresa Mucha, Dorothy Holecek and Mary Surman.
	Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 28 at 10 a.m. at St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville with Father John Venegoni officiating.  Interment was in the St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery in Pinckneyville.
	Friends called at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning from 8 until 9:30 a.m.
	The Rosary was recited Wednesday morning at 9 a.m.
	In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to Masses for Regina Bruns.
